He has always had an interest in human anatomy and function, and graduated from Brock University in 2017 with a Bachelors of Kinesiology (Honours). Although he hails from Southern Ontario, he is looking forward to embracing the Northern lifestyle and everything Sudbury has to offer.

Francesca Biondi

Francesca Biondi

Physiotherapy

Francesca Biondi, a proud Sudbury native, has dedicated her life to the art and science of movement. From the tender age of 2, Francesca was immersed in the world of dance, competing at the highest levels for 15 years. Her passion for dance has seamlessly transitioned into a career focused on helping others achieve their physical best. With over seven years of experience teaching dancers of all ages and levels, Francesca has developed a profound understanding of human anatomy and function. Her interest in this field was further fuelled by her own experiences with injuries throughout her dance career, which led her to pursue a deeper knowledge of injury recovery and rehabilitation. Francesca earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (Honours) from Laurentian University in 2022. During her final undergraduate year, she completed a placement at Active Therapy+, shadowing Athletic Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Chiropractors, and worked at Pain Pathway North, gaining insight into integrated pain management. These experiences led her to pursue a career in physiotherapy. She graduated with a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto in 2024 and returned to Sudbury to offer her expertise to the city she grew up in. Francesca is particularly interested in treating both the general population and athletes, with a special focus on dancers. She recognizes the unique challenges they face and is dedicated to bridging the gap in rehabilitation services for this group. Her approach to physiotherapy emphasizes a holistic view of health, incorporating manual and soft tissue therapy, patient education, exercise prescription, and collaborative care. She is excited to contribute to her community and enhance her patients’ health and well-being.
