Dr. Nick Bergen was born and raised in Thorold, Ontario located within the Niagara Region. Although not professionally, he has been involved in various sports including soccer, hockey, volleyball, badminton, golf, and basketball. He has always had an interest in human anatomy and function, and graduated from Brock University with a Bachelors of Kinesiology (Honours). In his last two years of university, he had a placement and volunteer position at Power Cord and SeniorFit, the former being a wheelchair accessible program specific to individuals with spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, stroke, Parkinson’s disease, and amputations, and the latter a fitness program designed for men and women 55 years of age and older. It was at this time he gained interest in the management of musculoskeletal conditions and decided chiropractic was the career path that would enable him to make a difference in the lives of others.
Nick completed the 4-year Doctor of Chiropractic program at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College graduating with honours. He has a strong interest in treating the general population and strives to improve the health of his patients to the best of his abilities using patient education, manual and soft tissue therapy, exercise prescription, diet intervention, low-level-laser therapy, clinical acupuncture, and interprofessional collaboration.
Although he hails from Southern Ontario, Dr. Nick is looking forward to embracing the Northern lifestyle and everything Sudbury has to offer. He enjoys the outdoors and is looking to get involved in local sports and activities. He is an avid movie goer and looks forward to discussing Silver Cities latest releases with you.
